When I was about 9 I had a fantasy that ALL the roads would, magically, be newly blacktopped at the same time. I think this desire arose from too many hours riding in the bumpy backseat of the family station wagon, but honestly what it embodied was a need for control over my surroundings which, although it has morphed and grown, has never quite disappeared!
More than two decades later this desire/need has manifested in a feeling that life would be ever-so-much better if there were a CALENDAR OF EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE. Y'know, just so that I would something to consult in addition to my Gmail, Facebook, Instgram and text messages. Image courtesty of Jenna & Mark at sweetfineday.com

I just attended a class called "UX Bootcamp" at General Assembly, and will be sitting in on Jeff Gothelf's talk "Almost Everything I’ve Learned From 5 Years of Lean UX" on Sept 29th. I'll also be starting Library Juice Accademy's Web Content Strategy Course on October 5th. Do you think I can fit Hack Design in too? The slide below is from "the design thinking transformation in business", presented at Webvisions Barcelona 2015 By Cathy Wang & Nuno Andrew. But is the masculinity that Trunk Club sells worth aspiring to?" Anne Helen Petersen, BuzzFeed News Features Writer, has a Ph.D. from the University Of Texas and wrote her dissertation on the gossip industry. |
